With teenage pregnancies in Rwanda increasing from 20,109 in 2022 to 21,469 in 2023, many young mothers face challenges of unemployment. Flove addresses this gap in vocational training by focusing on accessory-making, an overlooked area in Rwanda's tailoring education. Having already trained 23 mothers, Flove plans to train an additional 30-50 by summer 2025, equipping them with accessory-making skills, and courses in financial literacy, and sexual reproduction health that promote sustainable lives. The funds raised will cover essential materials like sewing machines, and tools for handbag production, as well as transportation for teenage mothers to attend training. Our goal is to raise 7,500,000 RWF to create a supportive learning environment.These sessions will give teenage mothers not only technical skills but also the chance for dignity and a better future.
