The money raised from this cause will be used to buy 100 goats to be given to 100 women who are victims of domestic violence. We believe that financial dependence of women on their husbands also contributes to domestic violence and that's why this cause aims to financially empower these women with domestic animals (goats) which will become a source of income once they give birth to an offspring which can be sold. Stand-Up For Mothers Initiative is a non-profit organization that aims to promote domestic peace by fighting against gender-based and domestic violence. We have done a lot of programs in Bugesera district to teach families about healthy relationships and how these affect their children in long-run. We have also done a lot of workshops to educate men and boys about positive masculinity, respect for women and championing the fight against gender-based and domestic violence.
